PROJECT OVERVIEW

Jeb Bartley, owner of Crush House Entertainment and founder of the festival, tells it himself. His band played the sandbar one day on a very small pontoon, and he decided anything after that would be a festival and a charity event. It became both. The first year raised about $700 for the shelter, along with dog food, blankets and pillows. Now the check averages $20,000 to $25,000 a year. Today there is a 40 by 40 foot stage in the water with a 60 foot catwalk, and a couple thousand people on the sandbar singing happy birthday to one guest of honor, and Jeb still says it has always been much bigger than him.
